"Wrathchild...be thy name rolled out the classics in a night of drama and suspense.
The evening began badly, a promised quality meal ended in motorway services. Let’s hope things would get better.
The venue was fairly small, but full off of anticipation for the entertainment: Edd and Terry.
Beverage in hand and perched on a seat, the lights went out, the suspense grew and out it came....loud and proud
(If only i could remember what they started with!) The vocals as impressive as ever and the guitar playing surprisingly good. The skills of Terry were highlighted at the end of the first set. One boot on table, the other on stool; he twiddled away. The result was excellent. All the men gaped, mouths ajar, watching his hands that provided the solo of all solos. The crowd were theirs. The second set began and even those that shouldn't have, were dancing to the rock.
The set ended and the crowd wanted more, all could sense the quality musicianship within the two "masters of rock" that stood axes in hand right before us.
After a short delay "Bat out of hell" was wheeled out in all it's epic entirety. It sounded and felt like the 'loaf was in the house which is a tribute to how well it was performed. The final note rang out and Wrathchild...be thy name left their makeshift stage. The lights came back on and managed to make the area they were playing in seem much bigger than it was." - Jason Bond
